Crocs Announce New GM

Today the Townsville McDonald’s Crocodiles announced the appointment of Errol McMillan to the role of General Manager.

Mr McMillan brings over 25 years of experience in sales and marketing extending across a broad range of industries and geographical locations. Most recently working with News Limited here in Townsville.

Mr McMillan acknowledged that there have been significant changes to the club structure and there is a lot to do before the 2014/15 NBL season begins but he is excited about the future of the club.

“I feel privileged to be appointed as General Manager of the Townsville McDonald’s Crocodiles and I am excited about the opportunities we have to develop and evolve the club in to the future, building on the solid platform that has been laid by the previous leaders of the business.” Said McMillan

“Townsville has a very passionate and proud sporting community and I encourage all the fans to show their support and really get behind the Townsville McDonald’s Crocodiles as we move into this new and exciting phase of Basketball in Townsville.” McMillan said.

The Board of the Townsville McDonalds Crocodiles are pleased with the recruitment of Mr McMillan who starts his new position this week.

“Errol has a solid background of achieving results and great experience across a range of industries that we know will help us take the club to the next level and maximise on the work completed by the previous GM and team and of course our army of dedicated volunteers.” Said Chairman Darren Finlay.

“There are many changes this year, we have a new office team, a new venue to play in and a great roster of players signed. The Crocs are an exciting organisation to be involved in right now. There’s been a lot work going on behind the scenes and the future for the club is very bright.”

The first home game for the 2014/15 season is against the Adelaide 36ers on Sunday 12 October.

Membership for the 2014/15 season has opened to existing members to choose their new seats in the Townsville RSL stadium.
