The Townsville Crocodiles commence an exciting new phase for the Club with the establishment of the ‘The Green Team’. The Club acknowledges and extends its thanks to the previous volunteering undertaken by individuals and groups (including the Ambassadors) who provided loyal and dedicated commitment to the Club.
The new and integrated volunteer structure will support the Club’s loyal and willing volunteers. The integrated structure is a critical to the Club’s continuing engagement with the community.
General Manager Robert Honan said “the Green Team framework will support and manage volunteer resources that are essential to the sustainability of the Club.”
“We are excited to announce that the Green Team structure will provide management leadership, structure and support to the volunteers. The integrated approach provides a dynamic means that re-establishes the Croc’s offering to community and corporate partners,” he said.
The Green Team structure will maximise volunteers existing expertise and time whilst delivering organisational outcomes. The Green Team will comprise of three distinct sections: the Green Army, the Green Machine and the Green Emerald’s.
The Green Army volunteers will undertake roles that spread the achievements and community engagement of the Croc players.
The Green Machine volunteers are individuals who have technical knowledge and expertise that assist in the smooth running of Club matches, functions and events.
The Green Emerald volunteers undertake fundraising initiatives that are managed and co-ordinated by the Club.
