Corey Maynard joined fellow teammate Mitch Young from the Cairns Taipans to cross over to the Crocs for the 2015/16 season.
Prior to 2015/16 season, Maynard spent four years at Bryant University.
In his senior year at college, Maynard averaged 13.3 ppg, 4.3 apg, 4.9 rpg and 1.3 spg. Prior to arriving at Bryant, the college had a record of 1-29. Maynard helped Bryant reach a 18-14 record in his senior year which is a major turnaround in the Bryant Basketball Program.
Maynard’s rookie season with the Cairns Taipans was limited as he was behind Cameron Gliddon and NBA-bound Scottie Wilbekin. He only played 19 games after injuring his hand in the second half of the season.
During the offseason, Maynard competed at his second University Games in Gwangju, South Korea for the Emerging Boomers national team.
After joining the Crocs, Maynard became a spark plug off the bench to give a rest for club captain Mitch Norton.
Maynard became a club favourite throughout the season because of his hustle, passion and never say die attitude!
Maynard made a instant impact in the Crocs first victory against the Sydney as he hit the game winning three.
He is also the brother of Collingwood Magpie Brayden Maynard.
