Nicholas Kay

After signing with the Townsville Crocodiles for the 2015/16 season, head coach Shawn Dennis hailed their latest recruit as “one of the brightest young prospects to come out of college this season,”.

Kay, joined the club after spending four years at Metro State College of Denver, finishing second in the school’s history of games played, fourth in rebounds, fifth in scoring and ninth in blocked shots overall.

Originally from Tamworth New South Wales, Kay shored up Townsville’s frontcourt in his rookie season.

As the season progressed the better Kay got as a player.

Throughout the season, Kay was given more game time due to injuries and player movement.

Kay finished his rookie season averaging 10.8 points and 6.68 points.

Kay also one game had 10 offensive rebounds against the Illawarra which joint-second best in the clubs history.
